Dear Internet,

I never really listened to KD Lang before. Honestly I've kinda avoided it since I saw the infamous Vanity Fair cover. I heard her on the television singing songs from her new album and decided to pick up a copy. So, here I am listening to "Coming Home" over and over again. I found this picture of her, I haven't listened to the album it's from. I think it's a really cool picture though.

"I am happily indifferent to the ones who have consistently been wrong"
"and all that once confined us like minutiae at its finest now is gone"

In other news:

The Sega Genesis VDP memory interface has a lot nuances that I don't yet get. It's a weird little system. I plan on releasing a demo for it for next years block-party. I will also release a gcc environment and library for programming it. It'll be fun. CALL FOR PIXEL ARTISTS!

So, I'm reading the HID specs from usb.org. usb.org is WAY too fucking verbose! Their documentation is practically useless to me because of this. Bah!!

My friend is taking me to a party. She was a DJ on the local collage station here and the party is for a bunch of KUOM folk. I'm nervous that I won't really fit it... so I plan on bringing (and drinking) some whiskey. I hope that will loosen me up a little bit.

I'm leaving here (my apartment) at the end of the month.

Awesome on GCC Sega Library. That'd be so cool.

Atari 2600 had 4k of memory, including the video page. =%>

The Sega Genesis has 64k of free memory, quite nice.

Wow. 64k. That's awesome. Man. They got Sonic the Hedgehog into 64k. That's so awesome.

Have fun with the Radio K kids. Most of them that I've met have been really nice. Whiskey is good (in moderation).

Well, that's the working memory. Actual there's 0x400000 bytes mapped to ROM. Sonic the Hedgehog, as I recall, was something like 350k.

You know of RadioK? Where do you live?

350k. People used to care about elegant coding.

I've always been impressed by the Sonic the Hedgehog games, I think their all pretty elegant.

I really liked the narrative flow of the first one, a category in which the sequels were not nearly as well-conceived.
